We as social workes often work from 'n strengths perspective and therefore we believe that every area is full of resources and that every individual has got the capacity to change. In order to deliver exceptional services it is important to be aware of the resources in the area and to make sure that our clients are referred to the necessary organizations. We believe that we can help indiduals, groups and communities best by working with a multidisciplinary team.

On the 29th of September there was a gathering where guests were educated about the importance of networking, they were given information on the Children's Act (38, 2005) and taught more about the people from the Garden Village Community which is one of ACVV Maitland's areas of service rendering.
Koeberg Primary School's Hip Hop dance group performed as well as one of the scholars who did a solo.
Our three guest speakers: Lucinda Jacobs, Lanie Snydert, Alicia van Vuuren
Lucinda Jacobs is a member from Garden Village Community. She is qualified through St. John and she works on a daily basis in the community, taking care of vulnerable member's basic needs.

Lanie Snydert is the social worker and office manager at ACVV Maitland. She gave information on the Children's Act (38, 2005), ensuring that all professionals working with children, know what is expected of them in terms of the Children's Act.

Alicia van Vuuren is a social worker at Durbanville Children's Home. She did a presentation on the importance of networking, giving valuable information to all professionals working with children
